Chris Matthews: Release Obama's birth certificate MSNBC host: 'Why doesn't the president just say, send me a copy right now?'

Listen to the guests debate getting the Obama long form birth certificate out in the public domain ..Is it a good idea ? ... First off Chris can't understand why it has not already been released?? I wonder could it be because Obama himself has had the records sealed, and has spent millions to keep anyone from seeing them ? I wonder who saw "it" and verified "it" under the constitutional provision for the Democratic party? The guests on the show  state Obama is just to busy to deal with something this silly.. That birthers are just stupid, idiots! What do they know about the really important things like running the country.

Chris Matthews, the anchor of MSNBC's "Hardball" program, is now calling for Barack Obama to release his original, long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to put to rest any doubts about the president's constitutional eligibility to hold office.

On last night's edition of his show, Matthews stated: "I am not a birther. I am an enemy of the birthers."
But he continued with the questions, "Why doesn't the president just say, 'Send me a copy right now?' Why doesn't Gibbs and Axelrod say, 'Let's just get this crappy story dead?' Why not do it? ... If it exists, why not put it out?"
Matthews was joined by Clarance Page of the Chicago Tribune and David Corn of Mother Jones, who both agreed with the call for Obama to publicly release the document, which to this point has remained under wraps.
Newly elected Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie has recently said he'd like more information to be made public to demonstrate that Obama was born in the Aloha State, despite polls showing a large percentage of Americans having their doubts.

The right to bare arms" Cross Bow" - 20 police surround, slam, arrest unarmed man Neighbor's claim of crossbow shot sparks bloody front-porch melee

By Bob Unruh

Image of crossbow from Nebraska website blog
Twenty police officers surged into a mobile home neighborhood in Lincoln, Neb., and slammed an unarmed man to the ground because a neighbor reported he was shooting a crossbow, and the resulting melee left two officers hurt, the man's wife and 4-year-old tossed out of their home and the Internet forum pages aglow with the flames of argument over weapons rights. "Why the need for 20 cops? What's with America and overcompensation through excessive force?" wrote one participant at Fark. Countered another writer, "I grew up in a place where this sort of activity (using weapons in technically illegal areas) is fairly normal, and I think once the cops are called it's because you've crossed the line from neighbor to weirdo/potentially dangerous person. There are so many ways out before police violence starts I have little mercy for this person." Find out how the court system originally worked in the U.S., in "Original Intent: The Courts, the Constitution, & Religion." The situation developed just days before Christmas, and it started collecting attention because of a video of the encounter between the man's wife and officers who had been summoned by the neighbor. As the case now stands, the suspect, Gary Grana, 32, is being held behind bars on suspicion of assault on an officer, unlawful discharge of a weapon and refusing to comply with officers' orders. (Story continues below)

Police agency spokeswoman Katie Flood told WND he has a court hearing scheduled on Jan. 11.
The video, from the perspective of the man's wife, Stephanie, originally was posted online, then withdrawn, and is available because others captured the file and have reposted it:
Warning: Obscene language throughout the videos

The woman repeatedly demands from police to be told why her husband was taken to the ground on their porch, handcuffed and hauled to jail, and officers attempt to explain it is because of a neighbor's call about him shooting a "firearm," which apparently actually is a crossbow.
The city's regulations note that a firearm is a handgun, pistol, rifle or shotgun, but another section of the city regulations, called "Discharge of Weapons and Other Instruments Unlawful," indicates that just about anything could be determined illegal.
It states, "It shall be unlawful for any person, except as provided in this chapter, to fire or discharge, within the corporate limits, or on any property of the City of Lincoln outside of the corporate limits, any air rifle, toy pistol, toy gun, slingshot, or any other air, gas, or spring operated gun, weapon, apparatus, or instrument for the purpose of throwing or projecting missiles of any kind by any means whatsoever in such a manner as to endanger the safety of persons or property, whether the instrument is called by any name set forth above or by any other name."
The rules also make it unlawful for anyone to carry "any toy pistol, toy gun, or other toy arm or arms, or slingshot, out of or by which any leaden or other dangerous missiles may be discharged." It was not clear whether an "leaden" missile could be thrown by hand.
But the Nebraska state government notes on its website that crossbow hunting is legal in the state
Flood, who reviewed the police reports to respond to questions, said that when officers responded, Grana was outside the home and they ultimately found no weapon there.
The only crossbow they found was inside his home, a discovery made after officers ejected his wife and a 4-year-old child from the home for most of a day while they obtained and executed a search warrant, she said.
Flood said she did not know why Grana was tackled by officers, but speculated he might have run away from them.
She also accused him of being "argumentative" and said he wouldn't produce an ID for officers.
But Flood confirmed that Grana had had no prior encounters with the Lincoln police department.
She also could not speculate why police officers "blocked" his wife inside their home while they were doing their investigation. But authorities said one officer suffered a minor cut on his hand and was treated at a hospital and a second officer had a minor injury.
A commentary from Martin Hill described how police "piled on top of [Grana] on the family's front porch [as] the woman repeatedly asked why they were doing this, pleading with police that her husband wasn't doing anything wrong."
He said the woman's original video, later taken down, said "This is a video that I took of my husband being wrongfully accused and detained. They originally came because someone wrongfully accused my husband of firing a crossbow in our yard (crossbows are legal in our state). He told them he was not firing a crossbow and there was not a crossbow outside or any evidence of one being outside. The police asked him for ID and he refused on grounds that he wasn't doing anything to facilitate them asking for ID. Next thing he knew the police jumped him, then the police tripped over our steps and crashed through a wooden fence which injured the officers hand. They slammed my husbands head against my front door, breaking my door (I can't even shut it properly now and have to replace it) and sprayed him with mace and started beating the crap out of him. All of a sudden my husband is being charged with assault on an officer?! SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE!!!!!"
The video clips also reveal police objecting to being recorded and explaining repeatedly they don't know what went on.
"It's obvious from the 20-minute video that the woman knows her rights and is familiar with the Constitution. At several points she refuses to answer inappropriate questions such as when one officer repeatedly demands that she has to tell him how old her child is," Hill writes.
She ultimately objects to police plans to search her home, since no part of the confrontation happened there. Officers tell her she and her daughter will have to leave.
"We're gonna seize the house," an officer tells her.
"Well that's fine then you guys can bring a search warrant. You can't seize my house without a search warrant," Stephanie states.
"Yes. yes we can," said the officer. "We cannot search your house without a search warrant. We can seize your house while we're trying to get ..."
"You can seize something I own?" Stephanie asks.
"Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely," says the officer.
The officers also photograph bloody spots left on the mobile home following the ruckus with Grana, and publicly criticize the woman for asking questions and demanding answers.
Fark commenters clearly had strong opinions:

  • "For a man living in a trailer park, there is a real risk of him missing his target and ... harming someone 100 yards away even inside their own trailer."

  • "Had enough government yet?"

  • "Personally, I hope one or more of the cops ends up in prison."

  • "The law seems to be a wee bit flawed."

  • "If they show up because someone claimed to see you firing a weapon, just answer their questions. Does it really hurt you to tell them your name? My God. Is your name a secret or something? Does someone need special super secret security clearance to know your name? If the guy had told them his name and if he wasn't actually shooting a crossbow and there was no crossbow to be found the cops would have simply left and gone back to their donuts."

  • "You don't have to talk to police or answer any of their questions. And you shouldn't. Ever."

  • "Trailer park does set a certain tone. Tornadoes choose trailer parks for a reason."

  • "It's about understanding that you have rights, and no one can take them from you -- for any reason, and that includes if you were reported to be doing something illegal."

  • It is a shame that police officers are trained more and more not in situation management but in psychological manipulation in order to justify actions."

  • "I am sure this guy acted like a jackass with a persecution complex, but 20 cops is a bit of a stretch."

  • "He made no threats, he wasn't acting erratic, they just said they thought they saw him shoot an arrow in his back yard. That does not provide rationalization for a 20-man beat down and arrest."

  • "Even if you disagree with an officer, be polite. You can get stuff sorted out later and bring in a lawyer if necessary."

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Worked for 99% of our troops.. Repeal is going to tear units apart!

By Brian Fitzpatrick

WASHINGTON, DC - DECEMBER 22: U.S. President Barack Obama (C) signs legislation repealing military policy law, while former Marine Staff Sgt. Eric Alva (2nd-L), former U.S. Navy Commander Zoe Dunning (L), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) (2nd-R) and Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-PA) (R) stand nearby during a ceremony December 22, 2010 in Washington, DC. President Obama's repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy is already  damaging the U.S. military.
An Army lieutenant colonel has asked to be relieved of command rather than order his troops to go through pro-homosexual indoctrination following the repeal of the policy, which required homosexuals to keep silent about their sexual preference.
Currently the commander of a battalion-sized unit in the Army National Guard, the officer also has threatened to resign his commission rather than undergo "behavior modification" training intended to counter his religious convictions about homosexuality.
Discover what's causing modern America to disintegrate. Read "HOW EVIL WORKS: Understanding and Overcoming the Destructive Forces That Are Transforming America"
The soldier sent the following letter to his commanding officer:

Subject: Request for Relief from Command due to Personal Moral Conflict with New Homosexual Policy

1. I respectfully request to be relieved of Command of XXX Squadron, XXX Cavalry prior to new policy implementation subsequent to the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." My personal religious beliefs and moral convictions do not permit me to treat homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle, compatible with military service, any more than adultery, illicit drug use, or criminal activity. I believe this lifestyle runs counter to good order and discipline in military units, and I refuse to sacrifice my belief system, protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, in order to fall in line with the command policy that will logically follow. This new policy will undoubtedly include mandatory sensitivity training as well as same-sex partner inclusion in Family Readiness Group activities and integration into the full spectrum of other military benefits, as well as a whole new category of discrimination standards and investigative procedures. I will not, as a commander, put my signature on a training schedule or other document recognizing or legitimizing any of these things that contradict my personal beliefs.

2. I would like to remain in the XXX Army National Guard until I am eligible for retirement (at 20 years and 0 days), which would be in the late summer of 2012, but on grounds of my religious beliefs, I will not attend sensitivity or behavior modification training consequential to this policy change, even if it means disciplinary action. I regret that I cannot continue to serve in the military further, but feel that my efforts would be insincere because my heart will no longer be in it."

"I will not be the person who forces this training on my soldiers," the officer, whose identity was being protected, told WND. He plans to go on the record as soon as he discusses his request with his chain of command.
The officer said he's aware of other officers who intend to resign their commissions.
"These people want to serve. I want to serve. I love my job, but I can't do this job once they begin to implement this policy,"  he told WND.
Under the terms of the DADT repeal, the armed forces will not be permitted to allow open homosexuality in the service until the president, secretary of defense and head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff can certify that terminating DADT will not impair military readiness. During the transition period that will precede certification, the military plans to require servicemen to attend mandatory training sessions intended to change their attitudes toward homosexuality.
"Very few soldiers are fine with open homosexuals in the service," said the officer. "I cannot believe the numbers jibe with what was published in the previous survey," referring to a study commissioned by the Pentagon to assess whether the military could safely repeal DADT.
"I did not give up my constitutional rights and freedom of religion when I joined the military. I don't believe in subjecting myself to all of the behavior modification and sensitivity training. They're going to try to push the position that this is an acceptable lifestyle."
Beyond concerns about violating his own conscience and the beliefs of his soldiers, the officer predicts several additional adverse consequences to repealing the military's ban on open homosexuality.
"I don't believe the steps they're taking allow a commander to maintain good order and discipline in a military unit," the officer told WND. "DADT was a compromise to allow homosexuals to serve as long as they kept it to themselves. Now they'll be able to throw their lifestyle in everybody's face and commanders won't be able to do anything about it."
The officer also predicted problems with retention and recruitment:
"I think it might not have an immediate, huge impact, but as enlistments expire you'll get people who vote with their feet and leave the service, and I don't believe the recruiting effort is going to offset the amount of people that leave. The military historically attracts a more conservative group of people who have certain principles and beliefs and swear an oath to the Constitution."
As previously reported by WND, some experts predict as many as a quarter of Americans in military service will resign or leave earlier than planned because of the advent of open homosexuality. Nearly half of the Marine Corps respondents to the Pentagon survey said they would consider leaving the service earlier than planned.
The officer also predicted growing security problems as homosexuals become more prevalent in the service.
"One of the Army values is selfless service. Placing the good of the nation above personal desires is an essential trait of a good soldier, who may be called upon to give his or her life in the nation's defense. When you start trying to attract people who are so self-centered that they put living their lifestyle out in the open above the needs of their country and national defense, then you have a really dangerous combination. That's when you get instances like PFC Bradley Manning, who is a homosexual. Because of his personal beliefs and bitterness toward the military he decided to leak 150,000 sensitive wires that have done irreparable damage to our nation."
Manning, an openly gay soldier, reportedly sent many thousands of sensitive documents to the Wikileaks website out of anger over the military's ban on open homosexuality.

Eligibility campaign confronts state lawmakers Newest sign in Austin, where plan includes demand for documentation

© 2010 WorldNetDaily

AUSTIN, Texas – Just in time for Gov. Rick Perry's inauguration ceremonies next month and in support of legislation introduced into the legislature requiring all future presidential candidates to establish eligibility prior to getting on the ballot, a new billboard is up in the state capital asking, "Where's the birth certificate?" The billboard, part of a year-and-a-half-long campaign to bring attention to the eligibility questions still swirling around the presidency of Barack Obama, is one of more than 50 posted around the country. The campaign is credited with giving new life to doubts now held by at least 58 percent of the American people, according to the latest national public opinion survey by CNN. The campaign was initiated by Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, in a bid to go over the heads of the major media, which, he says, now have a clear vested interest in covering up their negligence in not vetting Obama. Farah is asking all those who agree that the constitutional eligibility of the president is of paramount importance for the future of the country to contribute financially to extending the campaign through 2012. "Every day we hear from Americans seeing these billboards," said Farah. "Many of them congratulate us on the work. Others are just now being introduced to the questions that have been systematically stonewalled by the major media. I believe this campaign has raised more awareness of the issue than just about anything else. And I believe we are reaching critical mass in getting to the bottom of the mystery."

Farah says his goal is to help persuade several state legislatures to pass simple, straightforward bills requiring eligibility tests for presidential candidates – especially for "natural born citizenship."
"As I have said many times, if Obama didn't have something to hide, he would have long ago produced the original birth certificate proving he was born in Hawaii August 4, 1961, as he claims," said Farah. "Just such legislation is pending right now in Texas and is expected to be introduced in several other states in 2011. When that happens, I am firmly convinced Obama will decide not to run again. At that point, an investigation needs to be launched by Congress to determine whether he was ever eligible to serve and whether any of his initiatives and actions as president are legitimate."
While the press has ridiculed the idea that there are any remaining questions about Obama's eligibility, the entertainment media have been having a field day, turning the issue into the biggest running joke in America:

  • Jay Leno says things are so bad for Barack Obama these days that even Democrats are asking for his birth certificate.

  • Mike Huckabee says if you want to protect vital national security secrets from WikiLeaks, just put them in the same vault as Obama's birth certificate.

  • Conan O'Brien had this to say: "First, they said Obama's a socialist. Then they say he's Muslim. Now they're saying he wasn’t even born in this country. It's got me thinking. OK, the guy might not be qualified to be president. But I guess he is qualified to drive a cab in New York."

  • "Saturday Night Live" has gotten into the act several times with skits about Obama's elusive birth certificate.
While the birth certificate question is the source of some good jokes, it's also serious business – national security business, insists Farah.
"We now have a real American military hero, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, convicted in a court martial and sent to prison, because Obama won't show us his birth certificate," Farah said. "That's not funny. And it's not funny that 58 percent of Americans have no confidence the man in the White House belongs there under the constitutional standard. It's about time this should be viewed as a national security crisis."
The latest billboard is the second running concurrently in the Austin metro area. Farah hopes the campaign gives a boost to efforts by Texas Rep. Leo Berman, who is pushing the legislation to require the establishment of eligibility before presidential candidates get on the ballot.
"Like everyone else who raises this issue in the national media, Berman has been pilloried for legislation that ought to be a no-brainer," says Farah. "He needs the support of all Texans and all Americans – just as do other courageous state legislators who wade into this fight."
Farah says there are plenty of billboard locations available throughout the country – most of them at bargain prices because of the Obama recession.
"The average billboard we place costs about $4,000 a month," Farah points out. "Yes, we have had some donated. We've had some wonderful outdoor advertising companies that have discounted their boards because they like our campaign. But, at the end of the day, we've spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on this campaign – and we need help from the public. We believe it's the most important way any citizen can make his voice heard on this issue."
Only limited funds prevent the campaign from growing faster, Farah said.
"It's true that the outdoor advertising cartel, owned by major media conglomerates like Clear Channel, CBS and Lamar, have steadfastly refused to post our message because they want to curry favor with regulators in Washington," Farah said. "These companies have no problem with soft-core porn, with ads renouncing God and with outrageous vulgarity. But they do have a problem with political speech – with a simple, non-threatening question like, 'Where's the birth certificate?' It's an unbelievable double-standard by companies that are supposed to be in the First Amendment business. But, then again, look at how their parent companies have treated this issue in their news coverage."
In addition to the billboard campaign, Farah has:

"There are all kinds of things we need to do right now to get our country back on track, but I can think of nothing more important than for us to see that our Constitution is observed, followed, adhered to and honored, especially when it comes to such simple, straightforward matters as the eligibility of the president of the United States," says Farah. "Please help me bring this matter to a head right now."

START 2 Treaty - God Help Us - From Russia with love

The Senate ratified the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, known as New START, by a vote of 71 to 26, easily clearing the threshold of two-thirds of senators present as required by the Constitution for treaty ratification.
The final vote came after Senate Democrats accepted two amendments designed to placate Republicans who had qualms about the treaty. The amendments, which passed on voice votes with bipartisan support, emphasized the administration's commitment to a limited missile-defense program and to continued funding to modernize the aging U.S. nuclear weapons complex.
The amendments were to the resolution of ratification accompanying the treaty, a nonbinding statement that codifies the Senate's understanding of the pact but does not directly affect its language. Republican efforts to alter the treaty language were defeated, with supporters of the pact arguing that such changes would have forced new negotiations with Moscow and effectively killed the treaty.
Thirteen Republicans joined all of the Senate's Democrats in voting for ratification, helping to exceed the 67 votes required. Three senators - all Republicans - were not present.
In a floor speech shortly before the ratification vote, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), the Foreign Relations Committee chairman who shepherded the treaty through the Senate, implored senators to put politics aside and take a broad view. "This is one of those rare times in the United States Senate . . . when we have it in our power to safeguard or endanger human life on this planet," he said. "More than any other, this issue should transcend politics. . . . More than at almost any other time, the people of the world are watching us because they rely on our leadership."
Kerry also chided Republicans who had argued against taking up New START ratification so close to Christmas, thus delaying their departures for the holidays. "The question is not whether we get out of here for a holiday; the question is whether we move the world a little more out of the dark shadow of nuclear nightmare," he said.
Kerry said after the vote: "The winners are not defined by party or ideology. The winners are the American people, who are safer with fewer Russian missiles aimed at them." He said the treaty's impact "will echo around the world," showing that the United States remains determined to work with Russia and other countries to reduce the global threat from nuclear weapons.
"With this treaty, we send a message to Iran and North Korea that the international community remains united to restrain the nuclear ambitions of countries that operate outside the law," Kerry said.
New START cleared a key hurdle in the Senate on Tuesday, advancing to a final vote with a margin that appeared to guarantee ratification and a major foreign-policy victory for President Obama. Senators voted 67 to 28 to invoke "cloture" to limit further debate and move to the ratification vote, with 11 Republicans joining all 56 Democrats present in the chamber.
The stakes were high: Defeat of the pact would have severely damaged Obama's global standing, hampering his ability to negotiate other treaties, and would have dealt a major setback to the president's "reset" of relations with Russia.
"It's one of those things in life where failing to get it would be more important than actually what you get with it," said George Perkovich, a scholar on nuclear nonproliferation at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

DeMint vows to reverse FCC's 'Internet takeover'

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-SC, says Federal Communications Commission should be renamed the "Fabricating a Crisis Commission," following a vote by the panel's three Democrats to approve proposed rules that amount to a hostile takeover of the Internet by a government agency acting illegally.
The proposal - misleadingly described by proponents as an attempt to insure "net neutrality" by guaranteeing equal access to the Internet - was introduced a year ago by Julius Genachowski, President Obama's appointee as FCC chairman.
A federal court has ruled that the commission has no authority to regulate the Internet, and a bipartisan group of senators and representives warned Genechowski not to attempt to impose a regulatory regime on the Internet earlier this year.
The move's legality was even questioned by FCC Commissioner Michael Copp, one of the Democrats who voted today with Genachowski, saying he considered voting against the proposal because it lacks a sufficiently defensible legal basis to survive a court challenge promised by major Internet Service Providers like Verizon, Microsoft, and AT & T.
But legal challenges by industry are likely to be much less of a problem for the Genachowski-led takeover than efforts in Congress to stop the FCC in its tracks.
That's clearly what DeMint has in mind, as he said in his statement released today following the FCC action:
“The Obama Administration has ignored evidence that this federal takeover will hang a millstone of regulatory and legal uncertainty around the neck of a vibrant sector of our economy.
"Proceeding on its own liberal whims rather than facts, this FCC has chosen to grant itself broad authority to limit how businesses can bring the internet to consumers in faster and more innovative ways.
“Americans loudly demanded a more limited federal government this November, but the Obama Administration has dedicated itself to expanding centralized government planning. Today, unelected bureaucrats rammed through an internet takeover, even after Congress and courts warned them not to.
“To keep the internet economy thriving, this decision must be reversed. Regulatory reform will be a top priority for Republicans in the next Congress, and I intend to prevent the FCC or any government agency from unilaterally burdening our recovering economy with baseless regulation.
"In order to provide the stability businesses need to grow, I will work with my fellow senators to see passage of my FCC Act, which would ensure that the FCC can only use its rulemaking powers where there is clear evidence of a harmful market failure, as well as the REINS Act, which would add the accountability of a Congressional vote before any government agency’s proposed major regulations may be finalized.”
If the FCC plan somehow manages to survive, it will almost certainly do for First Amendment liberties and the Internet what it did for them in regulating broadcast television and radio. Former CBS News president Fred Friendly's landmark book, "The Good Guys, the Bad Guys and the First Amendment," describes in great detail how the Kennedy and Johnson administrations used the FCC to silence conservative critics.

Big Brother tightens choke hold on Internet U.N., FCC intensify efforts to regulate electronic speech

© 2010 WorldNetDaily

Editor's Note: The following report is excerpted from Jerome Corsi's Red Alert, the premium online newsletter published by the current No. 1 best-selling author, WND staff writer and senior managing director of the Financial Services Group at Gilford Securities. The United Nations is now joining the Obama administration and Democratic commissioners on the FCC in an attempt to regulate the Internet, Jerome Corsi's Red Alert reports. "The U.N. is reacting to concerns of member governments, including the United States, that the Internet has made companies like WikiLeaks possible, while the FCC is more concerned about conservative news outlets on the Internet that are increasingly undermining government attempts to control the news through sympathetic mainstream media outlets," Corsi wrote. "What is at stake is the future of electronic free-speech rights, as governments around the world realize how much less control government authorities have with a robust and critical press able to operate freely on the Internet."

Australia's ItNews.com reported that the U.N. is considering whether to set up an inter-governmental working group to "harmonize" global efforts by policymakers to regulate the Internet.
The U.N. claims authority to regulate the Internet under a U.N. Economic and Social Council resolution passed in July that invited the U.N. secretary-general to begin discussions on coordinating government efforts to regulate the Internet on a global basis.
"Obviously, the U.N. is uncomfortable with anything like the Internet that the globalists cannot control," Corsi wrote.
Meanwhile, the FCC is preparing in its Dec. 21 meeting this week to vote on a proposal called "net neutrality."
For more information on the "net neutrality" rules and government attempts to regulate the Internet, read Jerome Corsi's Red Alert, the premium, online intelligence news source by the WND staff writer, columnist and author of the New York Times No. 1 best-seller, "The Obama Nation."

Orioles slugger says Obama has 'no documentation' 'He doesn't answer anything. And why? Because he's hiding something'

By Bob Unruh
© 2010 WorldNetDaily

August 3, 2010: Luke Scott for the Baltimore Orioles during batting practice before a game against the visiting Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.

Barack Obama may not be fully versed in baseball – last spring he stumbled and couldn't provide a single name when asked his favorite White Sox player growing up – but there are some in baseball who say they know about him.
"He was not born here," Orioles slugger Luke Scott told David Brown of Yahoo sports in an interview posted online yesterday.
"That's my belief. I was born here. If someone accuses me of not being born here, I can go – within 10 minutes – to my filing cabinet and I can pick up my real birth certificate and I can go, 'See? Look! Here it is. Here it is.' The man has dodged everything. He dodges questions, he doesn't answer anything. And why? Because he's hiding something."
Scott continued, "You know what? People who have bad intentions, people that are deceivers or are not of honor and integrity – that's how they act. I've seen it in every – it doesn't matter what level. It can be in politics, it can be in business, it can be in sports, it can be in the construction field. Doesn't matter. It's all the same attitude. It's the same thing."
See THE BIG LIST of eligibility 'proofers', WND's compilation of questions raised by public personalities and influential leaders.
He said, "People who tell the truth, they're very easy to ... their actions prove it. Something as simple [as] providing a birth certificate. Come on. If you're born here, there's plenty of documents. But you know what? There's no documentation of him. No legal documentation of him. There's been lie after lie after lie exposed, but people put it under the carpet. Hence, the problem we have in this country."

Wrote Brown, "Scott's opinion about the president's birthplace – while certainly not unique – was a stunning climax to a friendly and frank 20-minute Answer Man session that spanned his enthusiasm for baseball, hunting, firearms, personal responsibilities and smaller government. … Scott used to come to the ballpark packing heat. Now sporting an offseason beard but no noticeable firearm, Scott came out guns blazing, figuratively ..."

WND has reported on multiple legal challenges to Obama over his status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."
Some of the lawsuits question whether Obama actually was born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.
Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Further, others question his citizenship by virtue of his attendance in Indonesian schools during his childhood and question on what passport did he travel to Pakistan three decades ago.
Adding fuel to the fire is Obama's persistent refusal to release documents that could provide answers and his appointment of lawyers to defend against all requests for his documentation.
WND also has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and his adoption records
It was in April when Obama was being interviewed about Chicago baseball, and he was asked by interviewer Rob Dibble, "Having played with the White Sox for a short time, I know how the Cubs fans and White Sox fans go back and forth. Who was one of your favorite White Sox players growing up?"
According to the Sun Times, Obama responded, "You know uh ….. I … I thought that … uh …. you know … the truth is a lot of the Cubs I like too! But, uh … I did not become a Sox fan until I moved to Chicago. Because I uh …. I was growing up in Hawaii so I ended up actually being an Oakland A's fan."
Scott had no such hesitation when interviewed by Brown.
"There needs to be accountability for the truth. I don't care if you're the president of the United States, you need to be held accountable. If you're involved in treacherous acts, or you're saying things that are against, or are selling out our country, you should be brought to trial," he said.
"I mean, no one's above the law. There's a lot of people that fought for their country and that's not something to be taken lightly. They gave their life, everything they had, they gave their lives, to give us what we have. That's why I'm so passionate about my beliefs – because someone died. They gave their life, their blood was spilled, so I had an opportunity to chase a dream and play baseball for a living."
Brown added an editor's note in his report of Scott's comments with a posting of the computer-generated image of a Hawaiian "Certification of Live Birth" that Obama's campaign posted online during the 2008 presidential race to try to answer questions about his eligibility.
However, Hawaii officials have confirmed that such documents have been made available to those not even born in the state. Obama's actual long-form birth certificate that would include a doctor's name and a hospital location, never has been released.
Brown brought up the subject, asking Scott how the president is doing.
"Obama does not represent America," Scott said. "Nor does he represent anything what our forefathers stood for. This country is basically built on an attitude. It's a way of life. It's not because you're born here. It's not that you're supposed to take from those who have and give to those who haven't. That kills a country. It killed Russia.
"I have friends of mine who are in the ministry who [work] in churches in Russia. If they can describe [the country] in one [phrase], it's 'messed up beyond repair,'" Scott said.
"That's what communism does. Cuba, Venezuela. People are trying to escape these lands like a plague. What would make a human being swim 90 miles in shark-infested waters on a raft made of tires and planks? To leave their culture, their family, their language, their way of life. Everything they've ever known. What would make someone do that?" he continued.
"You don't see people in America doing that. There's no one here in America swimming the Pacific Ocean – or the Atlantic, or the Caribbean – to leave this place. The reason why is because of the freedom. Freedom for a man to mark out his own destiny. It's not, 'Hey, you have so much.' Hey, that person worked for that. That's not to be taken and given to someone who didn't put in the time, the effort, and do his part.
"Obama, he doesn't represent that. He represents, 'Hey, everyone. Give me votes and I'll give you stuff.' And there's even people on TV who [are asked], 'Hey, who you voting for?' 'I'm voting for Obama.' 'Why?' 'So I can get more free stuff,'" Scott said
